Terms of Service

Article 1 (Description of Service)

• Ritama (hereinafter “the Service”) is an information platform that uses AI to analyze and summarize publicly available data from Google Maps and other sources, presenting local business information through proprietary ranking algorithms.
• The Service does not act as an agent, broker, or intermediary for reservations, transactions, medical consultations, or contracts of any kind.
• The Service is entirely free of charge. No paid features currently exist.

Article 2 (Nature of Information; Disclaimer of Accuracy)

• All information displayed is based on publicly available data as of the time of processing. We make no guarantees regarding accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or usefulness.
• Business hours, addresses, phone numbers, menus, prices, and service details are subject to change without notice.
• Rankings and Honmono Scores are reference values generated by proprietary algorithms and do not guarantee the actual quality, safety, or legal compliance of any business.
• AI-generated summaries are the result of automated processing and may contain inaccuracies.
• Reviews are subjective opinions from third parties obtained via Google Maps and other sources, and do not represent the views of the Service.

Article 3 (Category-Specific Notices)

Article 4 (User Responsibility)

• Users access and use the Service at their own discretion and risk.
• Any contracts, transactions, consultations, or treatments with businesses are solely between the user and the business. The Service is not a party to these arrangements.
• Users should not rely solely on the Service's information for important decisions. Always verify with primary sources such as official business websites or direct phone inquiries.

Article 5 (Prohibited Actions)

Users must not engage in the following:

• Violations of laws, regulations, or public order and morals
• Infringement of the rights of the Service or third parties
• Posting false information, defamation, or invasion of privacy
• Scraping, excessive automated access, or denial-of-service attacks
• Interference with business operations or attempts to manipulate rankings
• Automated access via bots or similar tools
• Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of Service content
• Fraudulent review manipulation by business owners or competitors
• Any other actions deemed inappropriate by the operator

Article 6 (Intellectual Property)

• Copyright in the Service's content, logos, design, code, and AI algorithms belongs to the operator.
• Rights to third-party content such as business information and reviews belong to their respective rights holders.
• Users must comply with the terms of service of source platforms (e.g., Google).

Article 7 (External Services & Affiliate Links)

• The Service contains links to external services including Hot Pepper, Tabelog, Gurunavi, Hospital Navi, EPARK Pet Life, Hot Pepper Beauty, Eiga.com, Jalan, Nifty Onsen, and others.
• The Service accepts no responsibility for the content, transactions, quality, or safety of external services.
• Transactions and reservations on external services are governed by each service's own terms.
• Through affiliate programs, the operator may receive compensation for transactions made via these links.

Article 8 (Google Maps & Google Places API)

• The Service uses Google Maps Platform, and Google LLC's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply.
• Rights to map data, business information, photos, and reviews belong to Google LLC and their respective contributors.

Article 9 (Comprehensive Disclaimer)

• The operator shall not be liable for any damages (including direct, indirect, special, consequential, or incidental damages, and lost profits) incurred by users or third parties arising from use of the Service, inability to use the Service, errors in information, system failures, data loss, disputes with third parties, or any other cause whatsoever.
• THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS-IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
• Except where prohibited by applicable law, the operator's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount directly paid by the user for the use of the Service (currently ¥0 / $0).

Article 10 (Changes and Suspension of Service)

• The operator may modify, add, or remove Service content, features, ranking algorithms, UI, and other elements without prior notice.
• The operator may suspend or terminate the Service without prior notice.
• The operator is not liable for any damages resulting from such changes or suspension.

Article 11 (Requests for Removal of Information)

• Business owners and related parties may request corrections or removal of listed information through the Contact page.
• The operator will review requests and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
• However, the operator does not guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled.

Article 12 (Governing Law & Jurisdiction)

• These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
• Any disputes arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
• This applies equally to users accessing the Service from outside Japan.

Article 13 (Amendments to Terms)

• The operator may amend these Terms without prior notice to users.
• Amended Terms take effect upon publication on the Service.
• Continued use of the Service after amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Article 14 (Severability)

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
